This virtual volunteer role provides digital administration support for The Smith Family’s Communities for Children program in the Katherine Region, NT.

The role provides the opportunity to use and enhance your administrative skills, and your use of digital technology and platforms.

Program and Scholarship Administration volunteers are required to complete online training prior to commencement that contains key information relevant to volunteers about the organisation, its policies and procedures.   Key activities / duties

• Enter and manage important data using Department of Social Services Data Exchange System which requires a myID digital ID authorisation
• Support data collection and reporting requirements for the program partner
• Undertake data entry and reporting
• Be involved in communications between CFC team and program partner as required
• Work with sensitive child information.

Skills, experience, education, attributes

• Strong computer skills including data management and use of Microsoft Office programs including MS Teams, Outlook, and Excel
• Ability to use computers independently and at times without supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work cooperatively in a work team environment both virtual and in person
• Experience in a similar position providing administrative (including digital admin) functions within a professional and confidential environment
• Related educational studies for example human resources, business administration
• Can adjust to the flexibility required working in/with a remote Northern Territory community
• Awareness of the community and education services sector and issues affecting disadvantaged people is desirable but not essential
