Service Coordinator – Hornsby Connect Community Table

Hornsby Connect is a volunteer-powered organisation supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship. Our Community Table initiative offers a relaxed, inclusive space where people can share a meal, connect with others, and access basic necessities with dignity.

We’re looking for a Community Table Event Coordinator to oversee the planning and delivery of these monthly weekend gatherings. You’ll work alongside volunteers, service partners, and local stakeholders to ensure each event runs smoothly and reflects our values of respect, inclusion, and trust.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading setup, pack-down, and onsite coordination
  • Supporting food preparation and distribution
  • Liaising with volunteers, partners, and council contacts
  • Ensuring safety, accessibility, and a welcoming environment
  • Troubleshooting and responding to client needs on the day
  • Contributing to feedback and improvement processes
