Management Committee Member - Greenacre - #232586

Greenacre Area Community Centre

The governing body is a volunteer Management Committee comprised of members with the requisite skills and/or local knowledge and a strong commitment to locally-based community services to serve on the committee. Members are required to:

Responsibilities:

  • Attend and actively participate in monthly Management Committee meetings of approx. 1 hour duration

  • Review financial and other reports and material ahead of the meetings, participate in discussions and contribute to quality decision making

  • Attend any extra ordinary meetings as required

  • Office Bearers may be required to perform other duties, such as signing of documents, minute- taking, attending meetings with funding bodies, attending cheque presentations etc.

  • Must have own transport.

Governance experience and Knowlege of the community services sector would be advantageous.

Must be available to attend face to face Governance Traning of 3 hour duration as part of the orientation process.
