Role Overview:

The Secretary of the Australian NPC Disease Foundation (ANPDF) ensures smooth operations by managing the organisation’s documentation, communications, and meeting logistics. This critical role keeps the board organised and aligned, helping to advance ANPDF’s mission of supporting families impacted by Niemann-Pick Disease (NPC).

Key Duties:

  • Documentation Management: Organise and maintain committee documents, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Minutes and Records: Accurately record and distribute minutes from monthly board meetings.
  • Member Communication: Send timely updates, meeting notices, and relevant correspondence to members and stakeholders.
  • Event Coordination: Manage administrative tasks for the Annual General Meeting (AGM), including scheduling, notices, and documentation.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the board, including handling correspondence and record-keeping.
  • Sub-Committee Participation: Contribute to sub-committees or projects based on your interests and expertise.

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Organisation: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • IT Literacy: Comfortable using or willingness to learn digital tools for document management, meeting coordination, and communication.
  • Minute-Taking Experience: Prior experience in taking and distributing meeting minutes is highly regarded, although not essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in managing and distributing important information.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with a team of dedicated board members and stakeholders.

To stand for election to the ANPDF Committee, nominees must submit a completed nomination form with a proposer and seconder available at npcd.org.au/agm.

New to ANPDF? If you don’t yet know any members to support your nomination, apply here or visit npcd.org.au/agm to submit your Expression of Interest (EOI).

  1. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the General Manager.
  2. We’ll help facilitate introductions with current members.
  3. Once two members agree to support your nomination, your form can be finalised and included in the AGM election process.
