### Student Researcher

Role Description:

Complete a literature review on one or both topics:

  1. Current and Emerging Mobility Aids for people who are blind or low vision, or

  2. Performance Measurement of Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Technologies

Time commitment:

Flexile hours over a 4-6 week period, commencing early October 2025, ideally to complete by December 2025

Knowledge/Skills/Attributes Required:

  • Experience independently conducting literature reviews.
  • Connection to disability or vision rehabilitation/technology, through;
  • Optometry
  • Occupational Therapy (OT)
  • Vision Science
  • Orientation and Mobility (O&M)
  • Rehabilitation Engineering.

Training and Support Provided:

  • Mandatory Training e.g. Code of Conduct, Introduction to Low Vision and Blindness.
  • Background and scope of project.
  • Connection to mobility aid project working group.

**Guide Dogs NSW/ACT will process a National Police Check during your screening at no cost to you.
