DVAC are looking for a dedicated, visionary individual to join our Board of Directors where you will play a key role in guiding our strategic direction, ensuring good governance and supporting our mission. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your expertise, expand your network, and make a meaningful impact. We believe real change doesn’t just come from strategy or titles, but from people who care deeply, show up consistently, and speak with courage. That’s why we’re looking for a new board member who brings heart, integrity, and a commitment to equity and inclusion, especially someone with insight into the realities of regional or rural Queensland. We are seeking someone to add a unique understanding rural and regional Queensland who can support DVSC engagement with stakeholders and provision of services to meet community needs including local issues affecting regional and rural communities.

We’re looking for someone who… • Is a strong communicator and team player that understands how decisions can affect lives in small towns and regional communities • Believes that safety, dignity and justice belong to everyone • Is curious, thoughtful, and committed to the kind of leadership that listens and learns • Brings insight, whether from professional skills in either leadership, management or lived experience • Will be committed to our purpose and values
