Commonkind is a community-driven charity that empowers young Australians to create a kinder and more connected Australia. We provide benevolent relief to people and communities suffering from poverty, disadvantage and distress through age-appropriate community service activities for children, families and other interested parties. Key Duties As our volunteer Grant Writer, you will:
- Research and identify grant opportunities that align with our mission and programs
- Write compelling, persuasive grant applications and funding proposals
- Collaborate with the team to gather program data, budgets, and community impact stories
- Track application deadlines and maintain a grant calendar
- Assist with reporting requirements for successful grants (narratives, outcomes, budgets)
Skills & Experience We’re looking for someone who has:
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to funders
- Experience in grant writing, proposal development, or persuasive writing (non-profit experience is an advantage but not essential)
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Research and organisational skills
- A passion for making a difference in communities
