About Us

Furry Friends Animal Rescue Organisation QLD is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes animal welfare by providing temporary foster homes for homeless pets, adopting them to good homes and reducing overpopulation through the desexing of all animals.

Instead of the traditional animal shelter model, Furry Friends operates remotely, with animals being carefully placed with volunteer Foster Carers until they are adopted.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and perform recruitment activities e.g. research role requirements, draft and review position descriptions and ads, post and market ads, review and shortlist applications, and interview candidates to make recommendations to supervisors.
• Manage recruitment channels to attract the right volunteer for the right role
• Conduct onboarding activities to ensure a warm welcome and smooth transition for new volunteers
• Perform exit procedures for volunteers who are leaving
• Reporting to HR Team Leader as required
• Any other HR tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Key Experience and Skills

• Proactive and able to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Cert IV or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent.
• Experience in a HR generalist role, but with proven experience in recruitment
• Experience with Google Suite highly preferred
