Carpenter - Build Work Benches

Volunteer Workbench Builder – Support a Local Charity Location: Flexible / Off-site Organisation: Connecting 2 Communities
Do you have woodworking or carpentry skills and want to give back in a practical, hands-on way?
Connecting 2 Communities, a local charity supporting individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment, is looking for a volunteer to help build a few work benches for our training and workshop areas.
These benches will play a key role in supporting participants as they learn new skills and take part in meaningful projects.
How you can help: You’re welcome to build the benches off-site at your own workshop or garage, and we’ll happily arrange pick-up once they’re complete. OR If you’re open to it, we’d love to host a Volunteer Day where you can guide and teach our students how to build the benches, turning it into an interactive, skill-building experience for them.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has basic carpentry or woodworking experience
Can either work independently or enjoy sharing their skills with others
Has their own tools (preferred but not essential)
Is reliable and community-minded
Materials will be provided, and we’ll make sure you’re supported and appreciated every step of the way (plus snacks are guaranteed!).
If this sounds like a project you’d enjoy being a part of, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now or reach out to chat more about how you can help.
