Junior Cricket Blast Coordinator/Coach

Do you enjoy working with kids and love the game of cricket? Sydney Coastal Cricket Club is seeking a passionate and reliable volunteer to help run our Woolworths Cricket Blast Skills program—an exciting, fun-filled introduction to cricket for children aged 5–10.
About the Club
Sydney Coastal Cricket Club was established in 1991. Based at Heffron Park, the club fields teams for boys and girls from the Under 8s to Under 17s.
Our goal is to be the friendliest cricket club in the East, giving every child the opportunity to play the game, develop new skills and have fun. While we compete, we don't have a 'must win' mentality. We ensure every player is better at the end of the season than the beginning through training, drills and game time.
About the Role
As a Junior Blast Coordinator, you’ll help create a safe, inclusive, and energetic environment where kids can learn cricket skills through games and activities. You don’t need to be an expert coach—just someone with a passion for the game and a willingness to get involved!
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up and packing down equipment
- Welcoming families and engaging with kids
- Running cricket-based activities and games for beginners aged 5–10.
- Promoting teamwork, participation, and enjoyment
Ideal Volunteer Profile:
- Friendly and enthusiastic
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Holds or is willing to obtain a Working With Children Check
- Available Friday afternoons during the season
- Passionate about cricket (no coaching experience required, but would be beneficial!)
Time Commitment:
- Fridays, 16:30 - 18:00
- Location: Heffron Park, Maroubra
- Start Date: Beginning of October 2025
- Duration: Cricket season (October–March)
- There is a break in training for the kids summer school holidays.
