MITE Radio is a not-for-profit online radio station that’s Making I.T. Easy. It is WA-based and operated by The Stairway Project Inc.. We serve all Australians, especially those in regional and remote areas, with friendly tech tips, great music and digital confidence. Our content is always friendly, inclusive and aimed at reducing isolation by making technology more accessible and less intimidating.

OPPORTUNITY

Here’s your opportunity to help us make a difference. We’re looking a volunteer in Northern Territory to help promote MITE Radio.
We work in partnership with national programs like Be Connected, libraries, and other grassroots initiatives. Our shows blend music with fun, practical support for everything from online safety to new apps and digital inclusion.

📝 What You'll Be Doing:

• Find and submit free community diary listings or not-for-profit event calendars in your region
• Visiting local aged care homes, libraries, and community centres and other public spaces to share flyers and information (no hard sell … just friendly conversations)
• Look for media or newsletter opportunities to promote MITE Radio
• If interested and able, help share our content on social media or find other creative ways to build awareness
• Be the local “go-to” for MITE Radio in your region – helping us connect with your community

🔍 We’d Love to Hear from You if You:

• A genuine interest in digital inclusion, music, or community radio
• Confidence searching online or in your local community for promotional opportunities
• Basic computer skills (or willingness to learn!)
• Social media or community engagement experience (optional but welcome)
• Bring creative ideas and a passion for helping others feel more connected
