We are seeking an enthusiastic enews whizz to build critical awareness and engagement of trafficking and exploitation of girls in Cambodia and of our work. You will be responsible for helping develop the organization’s content strategy, researching and writing enews content, and regularly editing and distributing our enews. You will work with a small Australian remote volunteer marketing and fundraising team and the Board Chair and Founder, both experienced international marketers and fundraisers, as well as the collaborative, qualified, and professional team in Cambodia.
With a vision “For all girls everywhere, to be free from trafficking and exploitation”, we are an innovative niche Australian charity delivering crisis and prevention support to Cambodian girls who are victims or at-risk of sexploitation and information to their support networks. Our three pillars of protection, empowerment, and education/career development incorporate strategic initiatives such as our 24/7 Freedom Line and its virtual assistant Neary, AusCam Girls Leadership Council, and the AusCam Safe Sisterhood. Since our 2012 launch, we have supported over 4,000 girls through counselling, educational scholarships, life skills workshops, and girls clubs; and impacted almost 50,000 through our online and in-person Sisterhood activities; raised $4M; and won key industry recognition for our Freedom Line and Sophea’s Dream film.
Key competencies and characteristics include:
- Enthusiastic and capable enews expert
- Experience creating, distributing, and analysing newsletters
- Familiarity with design platforms, ideally Canva, and email marketing platforms, ideally Mailchimp
- An eye for graphic design and experience adhering to design guidelines
- Analytical and experienced with metrics reporting and using insights to support enews activity
- Good communicator with high impact written and oral storytelling expertise for different audiences
- Collaborative service-oriented style, self-motivated, and solutions orientation
- Attention to detail, forward planning and deadline accountability

Ideally, your background demonstrates Australian nonprofit sector exposure, connection with Southeast Asia, tertiary business qualification, 4+ years professional digital communications experience, and passion for youth social justice.
