Volunteer Helper

Position Title: Community Support Volunteer (Shopping, Outing, Kitchen, Linen, and Meals Assistance) Location: CCA NSW Head Office and Local Community Locations Commitment: Flexible – minimum 1 shift per week (2–4 hours)

CCA NSW is a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting vulnerable individuals, including seniors, people with disabilities, and families in need. Through practical support and community engagement, we aim to build a more inclusive, caring, and connected society across New South Wales.
Key Duties
Depending on your interest and availability, you may be involved in one or more of the following: • Individual Shopping Support: Accompany clients on local shopping trips or assist with shopping and delivery to their homes. • Outing Companion: Provide friendly companionship and assist clients during community outings, appointments, or social visits. • Kitchen Help: Support the preparation of community meals by assisting in basic food prep, cleaning, and kitchen organisation. • Linen Service Helper: Assist in collecting, folding, and distributing clean linen to clients who require it. • Meals on Wheels Helper: Deliver meals to clients’ homes with a smile, ensuring they receive nutritious food and a friendly check-in.
Skills and Experience Needed Essential: • A warm, caring, and respectful attitude • Good communication skills and empathy • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Physical ability to carry light loads (for shopping or deliveries) • Reliability and punctuality Desirable (but not essential): • Experience working with seniors or people with disabilities • Basic food handling or kitchen experience • Valid driver’s licence (for delivery roles)
