Volunteer Driver

Volunteer Driver – Meals on Wheels/Linen Services Make every kilometre count – deliver more than just meals or linen. Deliver care, dignity, and connection.
Key Duties: As a Volunteer Driver, you will:
Pick up pre-packed meals or clean linen from our distribution centre. Deliver these items directly to clients in their homes, following a pre-arranged route. Offer a friendly smile, check on client wellbeing, and report any concerns to staff. Maintain respectful, timely, and compassionate service during each delivery. Handle delivery equipment or insulated bags in a safe and hygienic manner. Ensure client confidentiality and comply with safety protocols at all times.
Skills and Experience Needed: You don’t need formal qualifications – just a kind heart and a willingness to help. We’re looking for volunteers who:
Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a registered, insured vehicle. Are punctual, reliable, and capable of following delivery instructions and routes. Possess good communication skills and a friendly, caring nature. Are comfortable working independently and interacting respectfully with elderly or vulnerable individuals. Are willing to undergo a National Police Check (organised and paid for by us) and basic induction training. Experience with community service or driving roles is a plus, but not essential.
