About Us: Deception Bay Neighbourhood Centre (DBNC) is a community hub in Deception Bay, QLD, offering a variety of programs and services to the local community. Established in 1992, DBNC has steadily grown and now employs 18 permanent staff, 4 casual staff, and relies on approximately 10-15 volunteers. Services provided include information and referral, family support programs, community development, counselling, financial counselling, job preparation and training, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively contribute to strategic planning and board discussions
• Support processes that maintain governance, compliance and accountability
• Attend quarterly Board Meetings, quarterly Strategic Planning Meetings and Annual General Meetings

What we are looking for We encourage you to apply if:

• Proven experience in Governance and/or Financial Management, preferably within the Not-for-Profit sector
• A passion for community development and social impact
• The ability to commit time and expertise to support our mission
• You are a Qld resident, preferably based in or near the City of Moreton Bay local government area
• You hold or are eligible to hold a Qld Blue Card
