As the first point of contact at Mingaletta, the Volunteer Receptionist plays an important role in creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all visitors and callers. This position supports the day-to-day running of the centre by helping with reception, phone communication, and basic administrative tasks. Your support helps our team focus on delivering cultural, social, and community programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Umina and Woy Woy area.

Your time and energy will directly support Mingaletta’s mission of celebrating, preserving, and passing on culture, language, and connection to Country.

No experience is necessary – just a positive attitude and a willingness to help. You don’t need to identify as Indigenous to volunteer; all are welcome to be part of our inclusive and culturally rich space.

Why volunteer with Mingaletta?

  • Be part of a vibrant, respectful community

  • Learn about and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture

  • Gain skills in reception and administration

  • Make a real impact through everyday acts of support and kindness

We’d love to hear from you if you can spare a few hours during the week. Whether you're available one day or several, your contribution matters.
