Volunteer Receptionist
Gosford 50+ Leisure and Learning Centre Inc. is operated by a Voluntary Management Committee. The Centre’s main aim is to provide a safe, friendly environment for people over the age of 50 years to meet and participate in activities that will provide physical, mental and social wellbeing.
As a Volunteer Receptionist, your role is crucial in creating an organised, welcoming, and supportive environment for seniors. Your attention to detail in ensuring cleanliness, managing memberships, and assisting with day-to-day operations directly impacts the comfort and well-being of the senior community. Through your efforts, you'll help foster a space where seniors feel safe, connected, and empowered to engage in activities that promote socialisation, health, and happiness.
Duties include:

Greeting members and answering phone with a warm and friendly welcome, setting a positive tone for their day, ensuring that no enquiry is overlooked and every member feels heard.

Assist with centre operations, supporting the smooth flow of activities and contributing to the success of events, ensuring members have an enjoyable time.

Sign for group money at the conclusion of activities, ensuring the proper handling of funds, fostering trust and transparency within the community.

Accept new memberships and renewals, process membership fees, and provide receipts, welcoming new members and ensuring they are ready to be part of our vibrant community.

Maintain a pleasant environment, ensuring hygiene standards are met, plants are watered and deodorisers replaced, promoting a safe and inviting environment.

Provide support to the Voluntary Management Committee, assisting with any administrative or operational tasks that help improve the overall experience for the senior community.
