Web Developer/IT Specialist

You’ll take ownership of practical, high-impact improvements across the SAN website, including: Cleaning up legacy and placeholder content to improve trust, compliance, and SEO. Implementing core site pages such as About, Contact, Privacy, Terms, Listings Policy, and Corrections Improving mobile UX, including emergency CTAs and rapid “find help now” flows Supporting a structured SEO architecture (state hubs, metro hubs, guides) Enhancing listings quality, verification workflows, and reporting mechanisms Implementing analytics and event tracking to understand how people actually use the site. Preparing the platform for future growth, schema, and content expansion.
What we’re looking for: You don’t need to tick every box, but you should be comfortable with most of these: Strong experience with CMS-based websites (WordPress or similar) Solid understanding of web fundamentals: performance, accessibility, mobile UX, and security. Ability to implement structured content, templates, and internal linking systems. Familiarity with basic technical SEO and analytics (GA4 or similar) Calm, methodical approach to problem-solving.
Comfort working with non-technical stakeholders who ask “dumb” questions (we promise to ask nicely)
Bonus points if you’re passionate about saving wildlife/ have worked for Not-for-profits, directories, or public-facing service platforms Schema markup, search-driven architectures, or compliance-sensitive sites Why this role matters
