As Operations Manager for a brand new startup charity, your role is critical in allowing us to provide the best service we can to our guests. We move several hundred kilo's of food every week to 50 households on average across Lake Macquarie. We are a small operation for now but we aim to continue to grow quickly. You will be generally responsible for ensuring that the day to day activities at the shop run smoothly.

Required Skills

• No management experience is required for this role
• You will need to be good with technology including social media
• Willingness to learn, receptive to feedback
• Confident and polite attitude
• Organised and can stick to a schedule
• Bonus if you have a license and access to a car

Main Duties

• attend the shop in-person for about 10 hours across the week
• build rapport with other volunteers
• rostering volunteers for shifts
• digitise paper forms and data
• complete weekly reports
• coordinate volunteers to ensure that the stock room and kitchen are kept organised, the shop is kept clean
• post to social media with approval
• other project related tasks
