Core Functions:

Meeting Management:

  • Organize and facilitate board meetings and AGM (Annual General Meeting).

  • Prepare meeting agendas in collaboration with the committee. Record and distribute minutes of meetings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Send meeting minutes to all committee members.

  • Monitor and follow up on action items arising from meetings.

Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure the charity complies with relevant laws, regulations, and its governing document.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including minutes, policies, and financial records.

Communication and Liaison:

  • Manage internal and external communications, including sending notices, distributing documents, and responding to inquiries.

  • Act as a liaison between the board and the broader organization, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist in fundraising efforts and other events.

  • Support the Chair in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Management Committee.

  • May be involved in monitoring the charity's activities and ensuring that decisions are in accordance with the governing document and the charity's objects.
