The portfolio helps to advise, identify and implement (as appropriate) new initiatives within the Chapter that will prove of value to the membership and the Professional community, including events and activities through social media, web, email and other appropriate channels

Key duties of portfolio will include • Promote and manage the PMIQ media channels – web, social media, email • Ensure integrated approach is taken to member communications • Introduce links and collaboration with PMI Global activities • Submit regular information of Chapter activities for publication in the Chapter scene of the PMI® Today newspaper, and other publications as required • Coordinate the development/issuance of a chapter e- Newsletter (as Board prescribes) • Coordinate the development/issuance of the yearly chapter brochure • Coordinate updates to the chapter website • Coordinate updates to the job posting on the website with the webmaster • Maintain/update Article Submission Form • Solicit membership for articles for the Website and Newsletter • Maintain/update Ad Rate Policy Document • Solicit project management companies for advertisement opportunities with the chapter • Coordinate advertisement payments with sponsors • Submit advertisements to the webmaster for posting on the website, HTML Newsletter, Text-Only Emails, social media

The experience required are:

  1. Desire to help grow the Chapter academic relationship and drive an increasing return to members.

The desired skill sets of the volunteer are the following:

  1. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail are essential requirements of this position, as is a proven ability to produce communications for a variety of traditional and emerging channels.
  2. Strong team building and team leading skills
  3. Strong personal skills in engaging and seeking membership feedback.
  4. Strong networking skills.
