We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Bookkeeper to join our Executive Committee. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible, part-time hours while still making a meaningful impact in community sport.

You will be responsible for the regular reconciliation of accounts, managing receipts, and the accurate and timely preparation and submission of BAS statements. You will also support the Treasurer in maintaining clear financial records for reporting and compliance.

Time Commitment & Compensation Monthly Bookkeeping: 6 hours per month @ $30/hour, capped.

Quarterly BAS Preparation & Submission: 8 hours per quarter @ $30/hour, capped.

Anything beyond these hours will be considered voluntary

Training Provided: Full training on TidyHQ (our financial management platform)

Key Responsibilities Monthly reconciliation of accounts and receipts

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

Prepare and submit quarterly BAS statements in consultation with the Treasurer

Work closely with the Executive Committee to provide accurate financial information as needed

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial requirements and deadlines.

Essential Requirements Minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience

Xero Accounting experience is essential

Fluent in English (minimum 95% fluency in written and spoken communication)

Australian Citizen residing in Victoria

Ability to obtain and maintain:

Current Police Check

Working with Children Check

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and meet monthly/quarterly deadlines.

Desirable Italian language skills

Previous experience in sport or not-for-profit sectors

Familiarity with TidyHQ or willingness to learn
