Do you enjoy good conversation, music, and the occasional coffee outing?

We’re looking for a kind-hearted volunteer to spend time with a lovely lady who lives alone and could use a friendly face. Her husband recently passed away, and with her family far away, she’s feeling a bit lonely. She’s not into busy social groups—but she would love someone to chat with, share a few laughs, maybe go out for a coffee now and then. She enjoys watching TV, listening to music, and doing a bit of shopping.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
