Physical Activity Facilitator

Plan and provide a range of physical activities to marginalised and disadvantaged individuals providing an opportunity for them to express themselves in healthy ways, develop new skills and find a sense of community. You will:

provide a range of fun and engaging physical activities including ball games, walking, boxercise etc.

engage participants with a varying range of skill and fitness levels

assist participants in setting reasonable fitness goals
-
provide positive feedback and encouragement on progress

provide overall feedback to the Program Coordinator on activities and engagement levels etc.
You will need:
-
a minimum Cert III or Cert IV in Fitness
-
passion for fitness with an ability to motivate others, with experience in delivering group exercise activities

have a great interpersonal skills
-
respect the individuality of each service user/visitor and treat them in a caring and non-judgmental manner

Ability to refrain from imposing your own philosophical, moral or religious standards/beliefs upon service users

Ability to support Mission Australia purpose and values and work in accordance with policies and procedures
