Here’s your opportunity to help us make a difference. We’re looking for one volunteer in each Australian state to help promote MITE Radio, a not-for-profit online radio station that’s Making I.T. Easy. We empower regional, remote, and older Australians to build tech confidence, access essential services online, and enjoy great music. We work in partnership with national programs like Be Connected, libraries, and other grassroots initiatives. Our shows blend music with fun, practical support for everything from online safety to new apps and digital inclusion.

Key Duties:

• Find and submit free community diary listings or not-for-profit event calendars in your region

• Post our flyers on local library boards, community noticeboards, and other public spaces

• Look for media or newsletter opportunities to promote MITE Radio

• If interested and able, help share our content on social media or find other creative ways to build awareness

• Be the local “go-to” for MITE Radio in your region – helping us connect with your community

Skills and Experience:

• A genuine interest in digital inclusion, music, or community radio

• Confidence searching online or in your local community for promotional opportunities

• Basic computer skills (or willingness to learn!)

• Social media or community engagement experience (optional but welcome)

• Creative ideas and a passion for helping others feel more connected

Organisational Background: MITE Radio is a WA-based online radio station operated by The Stairway Project Inc. We serve all Australians, especially those in regional and remote areas, with tech tips, good tunes, and digital confidence. Our content is always friendly, inclusive, and aimed at reducing isolation by making technology more accessible and less intimidating.
