Volunteer Events Lead

Reporting to the Board, the Volunteer Events Lead is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of an event strategy that is creative, engaging and exciting in alignment with Endometriosis Western Australia’s visions and goals. As the key contact for our volunteer event co-ordinators, this role involves providing leadership, guidance and support to ensure team members are aligned with the event strategy.

- Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive event strategy focusing on enhancing support networks, education and empowerment, and fundraising.
- Oversee the coordination of a team of volunteers to support in the delivery of events, ensuring they leave a lasting positive impact on participants and stakeholders.
- Develop and execute event marketing plans to enhance promotion and engagement with events.
- Manage and monitor event budgets, including planning, scoping and costing and where appropriate forwarding reconciled accounts to the finance team for invoicing.
- Conduct post-event and communications evaluations to asset outcomes, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Compile and analyse relevant data for the monthly operations report to the board.
About you: The ideal candidate has:
- Relevant qualification in Event Management, Communications or a related field is desirable
- Proven experience in planning events
- Exceptional organisation, time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrated passion for EndoWA’s mission to advocate for and support individuals affected by endometriosis.
Time commitment: The time commitment is flexible with the ability to complete the role at your discretion, noting the time commitment will increase in the weeks leading up to events. This position is a 12-month term, with the potential to extend at the end of the term.
