About the Project: We are seeking a skilled and strategic Marketing Volunteer to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy for our social enterprise. Our goal is to provide opportunities for social connection and wellness for parents in the Geelong region. This strategy will guide our marketing efforts and focus on creating a clear plan that can later be executed by our team or other volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a clear and detailed marketing strategy for the social enterprise that covers both digital and offline channels (social media, community partnerships, local events, PR, etc.).
  • Define the target audience(s) and craft messaging that resonates with parents and local community members.
  • Create actionable and realistic steps for reaching and engaging with the target audience, including suggested campaigns, events, or promotions.
  • Identify potential marketing channels and outline how best to use them (social media, email marketing, local media, collaborations, etc.).
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of future marketing efforts.
  • Produce a comprehensive report or marketing plan document, including a timeline and key activities to be executed in the short and medium term.
  • Provide recommendations for tools, platforms, and resources needed to execute the marketing plan.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in developing marketing strategies and plans.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of various marketing channels (digital marketing, email campaigns, community outreach, etc.).
  • Ability to think strategically and create actionable steps.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to present clear, structured plans.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate about community development, social wellness, and supporting parents.
  • Familiar with the Geelong region and its community networks (preferred but not essential).
  • Creative, proactive, and strategic, with a focus on long-term impact.
  • Able to work independently and remotely with occasional check-ins.
