SCOTS PGC College is a respected co-educational day and boarding school located in the Southern Downs region of Queensland. With a proud history of providing a well-rounded, Uniting Church values-based education, the College caters for students from Prep to Year 12 across its vibrant Junior, Middle, and Senior Schools. The College provides for the needs of our boarding students across two residential campuses.

We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate and experienced individuals to join our College Council (Board) as volunteer members. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise and insights to help shape the future of a dynamic regional school community.

We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in:

• Marketing and brand strategy
• Philanthropy and fundraising
• Governance and strategic leadership
• Business or financial acumen

What you’ll bring:

• A commitment to education and community service
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities
• Experience in board or committee roles (governance experience desirable)
• A collaborative mindset and a willingness to contribute your time and expertise

What’s involved:

• Attendance at approximately 8 formal meetings per year (in person or virtually)
• Participation in subcommittees or working groups as needed
• Strategic oversight and support of the College’s ongoing development
• Working alongside fellow Council members and the Principal to guide the College’s direction

This is a volunteer role that offers the chance to give back to the community, expand your governance experience, and contribute to the educational outcomes of young people in regional Queensland.
