Director/Board Member
SEDA College WA is a not-for-profit Secondary College with campuses spread across Perth and Bunbury, and our Head Office located in Wembley.
We are currently seeking to fill a volunteer position on our College Board who has strong experience in the Education sector to assist with our College strategic plan moving forward in years to come. The College's core values of Growth, Resilience, Empathy, Accountability, and Teamwork (GREAT) are fundamental to everything we do. Ideal candidates to become one of our GREAT Board Members will demonstrate:

The successful candidate should also possess:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- A Director’s ID, valid WWC card, and Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain them (the College will cover associated costs)
- Experience in strategic planning is desirable but not essential
- An interest in alternative streams of education
The role involves attending eight board meetings per year, including a start-of-year strategic workshop. Meetings, which last approximately two hours, can be held online or in person, with key meetings requiring physical attendance. Additionally, board members may need to attend up to seven sub-committee meetings annually, each lasting around one hour. Outside of meetings, a monthly commitment of one to two hours is expected.
