Company Secretary

About you:
You are an effective communicator both verbally and written, with strong Microsoft Office skills. You have excellent time management and planning skills to keep the Board organised and on track. Managing up is one of your strengths. You might be a lawyer, studying towards legal qualifications or have experience in a governance or legal support role. If you have previous not for profit experience this would be well regarded but again is not essential.
**Key responsibilities **
- Coordinate, prepare and distribute board papers
- Organise Board meetings
- Take meeting minutes
- Maintain Board calendar
- Track action items
- Maintain and update Board and association policies and procedures
- Utilise SharePoint for document management
- Keep records of membership
- Support CEO with preparation of annual report and AGM including notification to members
- Ensure statutory obligations are met in a timely matter and lodgements to ACNC are attended to
- Arrange venue and catering for AGM and strategic planning days
Key Skills Required:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills
- Enthusiastic about helping to achieve Bicycles for Humanity’s key goals
Desirable Skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 and Teams
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative and flexibility
- Experience working with community groups and other NFPs or charities
