Broken Bay- Hall Hire Officer
Broken Bay Scout Group is one of the largest groups in the Gosford District, with halls based in Ettalong and Umina- it is a fun-filled, action packed, family orientated group. We help young people to grow and develop skills for life! They get to make lasting friendships through active, healthy, unique and fun adventures.
We are looking for a Hall Hire Officer to come on board- in return we can offer you 2x free hall hire bookings for your own private functions per year. This role can also contribute as a great reference to those wanting experience in event management and venue coordination for future employment.
Role Overview:
The Hall Hire Officer is a key volunteer position within the Scout Group- this role involves working with external groups, local organisations, and individuals to ensure the facility is utilised effectively and safely while also supporting the broader needs of the Scout Group. The Hall Hire Officer will manage bookings and maintain clear communication with those using the hall.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Hall Bookings:
o Ensure the booking calendar is up-to-date and avoid any conflicts with Scout Group activities.
o Communicate with group Treasurer regarding payments and bonds.
- Communication and Customer Service:
o Ensure clear instructions on hall usage, policies, and terms.
o Final inspection of hall before releasing bond back to client.
- Promote the Hall:
o Along with your committee members- help promote the hall as a rental venue to local communities and organisations.
o Assist in developing promotional materials, such as brochures or social media posts, to attract new hirers.
Commitment:
· The role requires flexibility, with the volunteer hours varying based on hall bookings and events. This will include weekends- other committee members will also be able to assist in the event that your on holidays etc.
