Men's Coffee & Chat Group Facilitator Volunteer

If you are a person who loves to connect to their community please read on!
The Men's Coffee & Chat Group Facilitator Volunteer works with the Case Manager(s) to facilitate social group sessions to men living in the community who are experiencing social isolation and/or loneliness.
As a Group Facilitator you will provide weekly (Wednesdays 2 - 330pm) companionship and social / group support to a maximum of 6 clients in a Men's Coffee and Chat group format at a Centennial Park location.
You will create a caring and welcoming environment, facilitate healthy and respectful group conversations, and encourage client participation in other connection-based activities as needed.
Established in 1990, Open Support is a community service organisation committed to providing assistance to families in need across NSW through the active participation of trained volunteers and staff.
Inspired by the charism of Mary Aikenhead and the Sisters of Charity, Open Support responds to unmet needs in society through the provision of greater access to healthcare, reducing social isolation and supporting families affected by domestic violence.
The Open Support volunteer program aims to reduce the impact of social isolation by providing opportunities for social connection and offering companionship through phone support to people experiencing social isolation and/or loneliness in the community.
We look forward to welcoming you to our volunteer community!
