VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY – SYDNEY SICK KIDS APPEAL ART ACTIVATION 🎨

Be part of a creative and inspiring initiative at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick (SCH) and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW)! We’re looking for enthusiastic and engaging volunteers to help run the Sydney Sick Kids Appeal Art Competition Activation and bring joy to young patients and their families.

About the Event:

This interactive art competition aligns with Sydney Sick Kids Day 2025, encouraging children to explore their creativity through this year’s theme:

🌟 "Dreamscapes" – Where imaginations come to life!

Volunteers will help facilitate art stations in the hospital foyers and distribute activity packs to patients in wards.

Both hospitals will award six prizes—first prize and runner-up for each age category.

Volunteer Roles Available:

🎨 Art Engagement & Encouragement – Interacting with patients and families to promote participation in the competition
🖍️ Activity Pack Distribution – Handing out art supplies in the foyer and delivering packs to wards
📥 Collection & Submission Support – Managing submission boxes and assisting children with their entries
🎭 Creating a Fun & Welcoming Atmosphere – Helping kids feel comfortable and excited about their artwork

📅 Dates: Tuesday 3rd, Wednesday 4th & Thursday 5th June 2025
📍 Locations: The Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick
⏰ Shift Time: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Outgoing, engaging, and patient-friendly volunteers who are comfortable interacting with children and families
✅ Volunteers who are passionate about art, creativity, and bringing smiles to kids in hospital
✅ Ability to work alongside the Donor Experience team to enhance the experience for participants

Additional Information:

✔️ Volunteer leaders will be present for guidance
✔️ Storage space for belongings will be available
✔️ Breaks provided with access to snacks and meals
✔️ Volunteers may assist with setup and pack-down of materials
