Volunteer Manager
The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of The Chatty Cafe Scheme Australia Ltd. (CCA)
The Volunteer Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the Chatty Café Scheme’s Volunteer Program. This includes attracting, recruiting, inducting, scheduling, and acknowledging and rewarding volunteers
Responsibilities:

Ensure that volunteer roles, guidelines, procedures, record keeping, and evaluation systems are followed and maintained. Includes updating our new CRM system (Better Impact -still being optimised) with all compliance volunteer paperwork

Assist in related programme administration and quality assurance, including policies, procedures, standards, and budgets, with support and input from the Managing Director

Coordinate, and deliver appropriate Induction training (primarily via Zoom one time per month for one hour) for volunteers to be successful in their positions.

Acting as an ambassador and assist to raise the profile of The Chatty Café Scheme Australia volunteer programs.
Skills and Attributes:
- Better Impact Volunteer Management software experience required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to empathise with volunteers and a strong understanding of their needs.
- Excellent organisational skills, including a strong ability to prioritise and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent administrative and IT skills and an ability to maintain records and produce reports.
- Self-motivated and able to work from own initiative.
- Ability to manage information in a confidential manner and respond with sensitivity
- Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or work experience in a relevant area.
- Experience of working across different sectors and developing links with external stakeholders.
Location:
This is primarily a remote/work from home role. Depending on location, occasional on-site at Chatty venues as needed.
