The Coniston Crisis Support Hub offers client-centred support to those in need of financial, food or material assistance. We are in need of friendly and understanding volunteers to assist in the call centre, taking requests for help and distributing the information to Conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Taking requests for assistance and entering the details into a database

• Liaising with stakeholders to deliver emergency assistance services i.e. home visitation

• Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of the people we assist

• Maintain records in accordance with policies and procedures of the St Vincent de Paul Society

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Understanding and professional phone manner

• Friendly and patient personality

• Basic literacy and writing skills

• Able to work effectively as part of a team

• Good listening and problem solving skills, with the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds (in person and over the telephone)
