Lifeline Community Aid Volunteer - Gordon - # 225562

Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney is looking for volunteers to help us support people 65 years or older to remain connected and independent. You provide a range of services for our older clients including transport to appointments or the shops, accompanied shopping or out for a walk and a coffee. You will be meeting a real need in our community, increasing wellbeing and social connection for older people, who enjoy the positive interactions and community involvement.
It is up to you how many days you are free, for how long, and who you would like to connect with. If you are compassionate, can drive, and would like to help older people in our community stay in their homes for as long as it is safe, we’d love to hear from you. Many of our clients live in Ku-ring-gai, Hornsby and Berowra areas.
To register your interest please use the link provided in the return email you will receive when submitting interest in this role online.
Benefits:
"Absolutely, without doubt, the best thing about volunteering is people I have met. I love hearing about people’s lives, their history, and their stories. I have grown quite close to a few of the ladies I take out or visit and I genuinely look forward to catching up with them." Jacki W
" I enjoy giving back to the community through volunteering with the Community Aid program. It's rewarding to help our older generation maintain their independence for as long as possible. The connections and friendships formed through this program are truly meaningful." - Leisa L.
