Yes, CANsign has well established processes and existing Depot Managers who can train you in the art of Dispatch work and managing a small team.

Time required

This work is all about dispatching merchandise (signs, t-shirts, banners,, posters etc). The workload comes in bursts from climate and environment groups across the country. Right now, during an election period, the workload is constant for a few weeks, requiring 4-6 day. But then it can drop off to 4 hours a week in non-election periods. The times are completely flexible to fit in with your lifestyle, albeit some campaigns require a dedicate effort to manage a small team of volunteers.

Reimbursement

If postage work or purchases are required to manage a Depot, all these procurements are reimbursed.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to work with small teams of volunteers. Skilled in Computing to a level of understanding of MS Office, Google G-Drive, optionally other skills such as Trello or finance systems is of benefit. -- Need to live or have access to a shed/warehouse in a Zone 1 postcode for delivery purposes. See Australia Post for postcode zones. - Warehouse/shed requirements: - Our current depot is 100m2 and can have thousands of sign stored in it ready to ship to climate or environment groups, or members of the public. The depot needs to have good vehicular access for trucks to deliver pallets of goods and for your team to load private vehicles to dispatch to local a post office or other location. A large enough space for desks and tables to be setup to perform dispatch work, usually with only one or two people, but on occasion as many as 6 or 8. The depot needs to be secure and safe from vermin, fire or flooding and enable a team to work easily and ideally have nearby amenities for volunteers to have breaks. IT equipment are supplied and the contents of the warehouse/shed are insured by CANsign.
