The Nurtured Village Hampers Ltd

The Nurtured Village Hampers (TNVH) is registered maternal mental health charity for the advocacy and prevention of recognised mental health disorders in Australian mothers. The purpose of the organisation is to build communities of villages for Maternal Mental Health in towns and cities around Australia. The organisations vision is for all Australian mums to feel supported in early parenthood in a traditional village model of care.  TNVH does this through community support through their villages, in partnerships with others, and by connecting Mums to traditional village support, services/ support available based on their needs.  

The Nurtured Village Hampers Ltd is an incorporated company limited by guarantee and a registered health promotion charity in Australia.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Research

Conduct thorough research to identify suitable grant opportunities from government bodies, private foundations, and other funding sources that align with The Nurtured Village Hampers’ focus areas.

  1. Grant Applications

Prepare clear, compelling, and well-structured grant proposals, adhering to the guidelines and requirements set out by the funding organisation.

Clearly articulate the organisation’s mission, goals, programs, and the anticipated impact on the community.

Work with internal teams, including operations managers, fundraising and grants subcommittee and volunteers in communities, to gather relevant data and information for each application.

  1. Grant Acquitting

Assist in preparing progress reports/acquittals for existing grants to highlight the outcomes and impact of funded programs.

Ensure all reporting reflects accountability and transparency, maintaining positive relationships with funding bodies.

  1. Grant Management

Support the team in managing grant agreements and ensuring all deadlines, compliance requirements, and reporting responsibilities are met.

Maintain accurate records of submitted applications, outcomes, and communications with funding partners.

To comply with OH&S requirements and maintain safe working practices to protect your own and other’s health and safety.

  • To abide by all the relevant Laws and Funding obligations relating to The Nurtured Village including: Privacy; Accreditation/Quality Improvement frameworks; Equal Opportunities, Discrimination, Bullying and Harassment; Code of Conduct.

Key Competencies & Experience

Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite
  • Previous experience in grants writing/fundraising
  • Experience in the Non-for-Profit sector, preferably in a Charity environment is highly regarded
  • Attention to detail and highly organised
  • be over 18 years of age
  • not be insolvent or under administration
  • not be disqualified under constitution due to a breach of duties
