Role Overview

The Events Coordinator plays a key role in planning, organising, and delivering club events that bring our community together. From game-day functions to fundraisers and social events, this role ensures that all events run smoothly, are well attended, and contribute to the club's success.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate club events, including fundraising activities, social functions, and presentation nights.
• Work closely with the club committee to develop an annual event calendar.
• Liaise with sponsors, vendors, and other stakeholders to secure event support and resources.
• Promote events through social media, email newsletters, and club networks.
• Oversee event logistics, including venue setup, catering, and entertainment.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with events.
• Ensure events are delivered within budget and align with club objectives.
• Gather feedback and assess event success to improve future functions.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting grassroots sports, connecting with the community, and contributing to a club’s long-term success.

This is a hybrid role. Most of the organisational work can be completed remotely, and then you would need to be on-site for various meetings and events.

Time Required

2 hours per week on average. This time commitment will fluctuate, you will be busier close to events, and quieter at other times. These hours may change as this new role evolves, and templates and processes are created.

About You

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in event planning or coordination (preferred but not essential).
• Enthusiasm for community sport and a passion for bringing people together.
