We are seeking a volunteer Website Officer to oversee and maintain our website. The ideal candidate will have experience in website management, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for supporting non-profits. This is a flexible, remote opportunity for someone living anywhere in Western Australia that will involve collaborating with our team to ensure that our website stays updated, user-friendly, and impactful.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update website content regularly (including text, images, and videos).

• Ensure the website is user-friendly, mobile-responsive, and accessible.

• Collaborate with team members to create and implement web content that supports ongoing campaigns and initiatives.

• Troubleshoot any technical issues and liaise with external vendors if necessary.

• Monitor website performance and analytics, providing regular reports to the team.

• Implement SEO best practices to help drive more traffic and engagement.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant web accessibility and data privacy laws.

About you:

The ideal candidate has:

• Experience in website management, WordPress (or similar CMS), and basic HTML/CSS.

• Familiarity with SEO, web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.), and digital accessibility.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a remote team.

• Interest or experience in working with non-profit organizations is a plus.

• A passion for making a positive social impact.

• Based in Western Australia

• Has/ or can obtain a Police Clearance.

Time commitment:

The time commitment is flexible with the ability to complete the role at your discretion. This position is a 12-month term, with the potential to extend at the end of the term.
