Overview

Are you ready to step into a Finance Manager role and make a meaningful impact in the not-for-profit (NFP) sector? We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Finance Manager (Volunteer). This role is perfect for experienced Team Leads or Senior Accountants looking to take the next step, gain hands-on managerial experience, and contribute to a unique and evolving NFP segment

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Team Oversight:

• Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members (currently 2 Finance Analysts).

Monthly Reporting:

• Review forecasts and actuals to ensure financial accuracy and alignment.

Cash Flow Forecasting:

• Prepare and review cash flow forecasts to maintain financial stability.

Variance Analysis and Strategic Planning:

• Identify variances and create actionable plans to ensure financials are “back to green.”

Compliance Support:

• Assist the CFO with analysis and research, ensuring compliance with GST/BAS returns and ACNC requirements.

General volunteer expectations:

• Undertake an OFA volunteer induction and role onboarding.
• Understand and implement OFA’s strategy, vision and mission.
• Uphold our volunteer code of conduct.
• Assist with initiatives as required.
