Our aged care home at The Ponds needs a volunteer to assist the residents with caring for small gardens outside their rooms and some community gardening projects, sometimes running a small gardening group as needed.

No trimming the hedges or cutting the grass - just a bit of weeding, a bit of watering, and a bit of chatting with some of our wonderful residents. We are flexible with timing but 9am-12pm suits best with the residents' schedules.

Perhaps you'd like to gather a small group to discuss gardening/growing & flowers/herbs etc ? Or do some flower arranging with residents to brighten their rooms?

There are lots of ways you could help in this area, and you might pick up some good gardening tips too from residents with lots of experience in this area.
