The Directors decide on how often they meet. This is generally every two (2) months, with the annual general meeting (AGM) to which all village residents are invited, held in March every year.

Meetings include the AGM, seldom go beyond two hours duration. Occasionally. decisions are needed to be made by Directors in between meetings-e.g. approval for urgent financial expenditure. This can be resolved via email communication with Directors who reside outside the village.

Directors are required to prioritise their attendance at the AGM. The minutes of the general meetings are recorded by the secretary of the village who is also a director.

The Association is entitled to have no more than nine (9) Directors- Five (5) of whom are village residents while four (4) reside outside.

All Directors are required to be members of the Association- annual membership is $2 per annum. - from the 1st of January to 31st December.

Directors are elected at the AGM, although a casual vacancy can be filled at any general meeting.

All Directors are required by law, to register with the Business Registry Services (ABRS) either by phone 13 62 50 or online for a directors' identification number (Director ID). No cost is involved.

Directors must carry out their duties as required under legislation and common law (Judge made law). They must also abide with the duties described in Governance Standard 5 of the regulations made under the ACNC (Australian Charities and not for profit commission act 2012) together with the provisions of the NSW Retirement Village Act.
