Operation Rosemary needs you!

Each year on ANZAC Day, rosemary is distributed as a gift to the public by Sydney Legacy at dawn services, ANZAC day marches and commemorative sporting games held in the Sydney CBD and other locations.

Rosemary is an ancient symbol of remembrance. The aromatic herb grows wild on the Gallipoli peninsula, where the original Anzacs served in World War I. Australians traditionally wear sprigs of rosemary as a symbol of remembrance on Anzac Day.

More than 40,000 sprigs of Rosemary are prepared by our volunteers in the lead up to Anzac day.

We need volunteers to help us with the following:

Sprigging rosemary - what you need to do: Cutting rosemary into 3 inch pieces and wrapping it with a Legacy sticker, ready to give to the public on Anzac Day (25 April 2024).

A great team building activity and includes lunch. Sprigging takes place at Legacy's office 35 Clarence Street.

Benefits

Great opportunity to organise a team for a team building experience. As an individual great opportunity to meet other like minded passionate caring people. Lunch will be provided.
