Charity Manager/President

We Can Recover is seeking a dedicated and passionate President to lead our charity into its next chapter. This is a leadership role that involves overseeing the charity’s operations, governance, and strategic direction, ensuring we continue to provide financial support to individuals living with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD) so they can access long-term therapy.
Charity mission: (1.) Subsidise the cost of therapy for people living with C-PTSD; (2.) Promote the importance of C-PTSD training for treating therapists; and (3.) Promote a recovery-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy: Provide overall direction for the charity, ensuring alignment with our mission. Governance & Compliance: Work with the board to ensure the charity meets all legal and ethical responsibilities Fundraising & Financial Oversight: Support and oversee fundraising efforts, ensuring financial sustainability. Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Represent We Can Recover in the public space, including networking with donors, sponsors, and community organisations. Team & Volunteer Management: Work collaboratively with the board and volunteers, fostering a strong and supportive team. Board Meetings & Reporting: Chair regular board meetings and ensure transparent communication with stakeholders. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Passionate about C-PTSD mental health advocacy and making a real impact. ✅ Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills. ✅ Experience in management, non-profits, or community work (preferred but not essential). ✅ Comfortable with public representation, networking, and stakeholder engagement. ✅ Able to commit time to overseeing operations and driving the charity forward.
