We are seeking a creative and dynamic Head of Media to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing and enhancing ITE’s public image by connecting us with news outlets for features and managing our monthly newsletter. The Head of Media will independently develop engaging content, run media campaigns, and build relationships with key stakeholders to promote the work we do in advancing educational equity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to amplify ITE’s mission and reach a wider audience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Media Relations: Build, leverage your existing and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers to secure media coverage and partnerships that support ITE’s mission.

- Newsletter and Website Management: Designing, writing, and distributing email newsletters to donors, volunteers, and stakeholders. Gathering relevant updates, success stories, and announcements to include in newsletters. Updating and managing content on the organisation’s website (news, blogs, impact stories).

- Public Relations: Writing press releases and media statements to promote the NFP’s initiatives, campaigns, and events. Pitching stories to news organisations to secure media coverage.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in media relations, journalism, public relations, or communications, preferably in the nonprofit or education sector.

  • Strategic thinking – aligning media strategies with organisational goals and creatively designing newsletter & website content to amplify our mission and impact.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with media professionals and other stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
