Peter needs a mate to chat to on Wednesdays

Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors is a service that connects volunteers with people who are experiencing loneliness or isolation.
Peter is in his 90’s and can’t get out and about anymore. He’d love someone to chat to. Peter worked as an electrician and wood worker and has completed many projects around the family home. We are looking for someone to visit him. Due to medical appointments he has limited availability but Wednesdays are a good day. Could you drop in for an hour or so and have a chat?
Our volunteers often say they get as much out of volunteering as they put in and they love the chats that they have with the people they visit.
What would it take for you to build a friendship with someone new?
We will introduce you and provide ongoing support, we even host celebration events to say thank you for making a difference to this person.
