As part of the federally funded Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS); compassionate, caring and friendly volunteers are needed to visit and provide social support with elderly residents in an aged care facility in the Blacktown area. 

It is purely about social interaction, connection and conversation so as to provide some joy and pleasure in the life of these residents. A commitment of at least 1 hour per week/fortnight is needed on an ongoing basis so a rapport and trust can be developed between the volunteer and the resident.

Individuals who are willing to give a little bit of their time in conversation, who are reliable, patient and compassionate, and have a positive attitude for life are encouraged to apply. Maltese speaking women or men are encouraged to apply.
