Partnership Lead

Role Overview In this role, you will be identifying, engaging and securing strategic partnerships. You will develop compelling partnership proposals and targeted outreach strategies that attract partners aligned with our mission. A major responsibility is cultivating relationships with both corporate and government stakeholders, ensuring that all partners receive their agreed benefits and enjoy significant visibility during GovHack events. This opportunity is ideally suited to individuals with experience in corporate partnerships, business development, fundraising or relationship management, and who are enthusiastic about networking and securing funding. In this role, you will be building a team of junior sponsorship/partnership officers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop persuasive partnership proposals and comprehensive outreach strategies.
- Identify, engage and secure potential partners.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing partners.
- Negotiate and finalise partnership agreements.
- Monitor, track and report on partnership performance.
- Act as a brand ambassador for GovHack.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in managing teams, volunteers, or staff is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in corporate partnerships, business development, fundraising or relationship management, preferably within a non-profit or event-driven context.
- A solid understanding of the open data, innovation or civic technology landscape.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing corporate relationships and executing sponsorship plans.
Expected Time Commitment Approximately 20 hours per month, with additional time required as events approach.
