SEEKING DIGITAL MENTOR VOLUNTEERS - for our Chinese community Be Connected Digital Skills Program. Culture Connect Chinese Australia (CCCA) is a Not-for-Profit unique club. We are Connecting Cultures through empowering individuals with language and digital skills, due to a growing number of Chinese with zero English Skills and large demand experienced since commencing with the Australian Governments - Be Connected program to kerb isolation, encourage digital understanding and overall wellbeing.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS 1. Passion for helping others 2. Police Check with No Criminal Record Report 3. Fluent in both English + Chinese languages 4. Complete our Be Connected Training course 5. Enthusiastic to continue building knowledge

ESSENTIAL SKILLS Speak, read and write English + Chinese well Have up-to-date knowledge about basic Digital skills to help older Chinese adults stay safe online Excellent communication skills in person, phone OR online Present information creatively, explain processes, research and encourage solutions to problems, motivated Passionate to make a difference in the community, encourage digital inclusion and connecting cultures

GENERAL DUTIES Assist Senior Adults to improve their Technology Skills Prepare instructions based on Be Connected Digital Skills framework, and guide students on their journey with technology following the required steps Evaluate students’ progress and discuss results Identify students’ individual learning needs
